The privacy of our users is important to us and we take care to safeguard it. We have updated this policy in line with the principles of the EU General Data Protection Directive that comes into effect on 25th May 2018.
Who are we?
The SupportAbility project is concerned with developing assistance for European SMEs in the employment of people who live with a form of disability. There are 7 partners (http://www.supportability.eu/partners/) from the UK, Portugal, Spain and Turkey. The project started in November 2016 and ends in May 2019.
What information do we collect about you?
We collect information you provide to us:
- when you complete a form we issue, whether on or off-line (for example, a survey questionnaire)
- when you attend one of our events / forums
- when we ask you for feedback to help evaluation and validation of training modules
- if you take part in any piloting of the training modules
Information might include your nationality, name, company, address, job role, education-level, time in the industry, email address, and company web site. At no time do we mention an individual person – all personal information is treated in confidence and aggregated.
We may also collect information about you from third parties such as:
- other stakeholders
How we use information about you?
- to help collate the results of a survey
- for further contact by email or telephone
- to advise you of the progress/completion of the project
- to invite you to events / forums
- to gather feedback from you
- to invite you to participate in a pilot of the project
Who might we share your information with?
Information is shared between the partners but this would not usually include names or other personal information, except in attendance lists at events/forums or if you volunteer to participate in a pilot programme or some other evaluation/validation event. Erasmus also has full access to the project information gathered, as their staff are tasked with monitoring and evaluating progress and whether the final outcome meets the set criteria. What technology platforms do we use?
The project uses google forms to conduct surveys. Individuals complete these forms only if they so wish and in such an event their details are recorded in a google spreadsheet accessible by the partner administrators. Administrator access to the site is password protected. For google safeguards for personal data see: https://policies.google.com/privacy. As the platform operates globally and is based in the USA, personal data can be transferred outside of the EEA. Google complies with the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Frameworks as set forth by the US Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland, respectively. How we look after your information and how long we keep it for?
We use appropriate technological and operational security measures to protect your information against any unauthorised access to or unlawful use. We will retain your information for as long as is necessary to provide you with the services that you have requested from us or for as long as the law otherwise permits.
Your rights to the information we hold about you?
You have the right to see the personal data that we keep about you, by making a request in writing to us and a small fee may be charged. You can contact us by using the details below if you are concerned.
Please advise us if you believe there has been a personal data breach and we will, if founded, report the breach to the relevant data protection authority in the country concerned without undue delay and within 72 hours of discovering the breach. Please note a reportable breach is one which is likely to result in a risk to people’s rights and freedoms. If this is not a likely consequence, the breach does not need to be reported.
